Obama’s Drone 2016

Description

This Arabic calligraphy limited edition print of 50, features the following quote by Barack Obama: “Any attack on one religion, is an attack on all religions” said during a speech while the president was visiting the Islamic Center of Maryland in early 2016. The quote has been translated into Arabic and written in the Diwani Jali script. It’s repeated four times to form the accurately scaled proportions of an MQ-9 Reaper. 

This particular variety of UAV is used to deliver hellfire missiles in order to assassinate militants, often killing numerous civilians in the process. Attacks from these vehicles have increased significantly under the presidency of Barack Obama.

هذه الطبعة المحدودة مكوّنة من 50 نسخة ، تتميز بالاقتباس التالي لباراك أوباما:  “أي اعتداء على دين واحد ، هو اعتداء على جميع الأديان” والتي ذكرت خلال كلمة ألقاها الرئيس أثناء زيارته للمركز الإسلامي في ماريلاند في أوائل عام 2016. ترجم الاقتباس إلى اللغة العربية وكُتب بالخط الديواني الجلي.  تكرر الاقتباس أربع مرات لتشكيل النسب المقاسة بدقة ل MQ-9 Reaper.
تستخدم هذه المجموعة الخاصة من الطائرات بدون طيار لإيصال صواريخ هيلفاير لاغتيال المسلحين ، مما يؤدي في كثير من الأحيان إلى قتل العديد من المدنيين في اثنائها. تزايدت الهجمات من هذه المركبات بشكل ملحوظ في ظل رئاسة باراك أوباما.

Cette impression de calligraphie arabe en édition limitée à 50 exemplaires présente la citation de Barack Obama : « Toute attaque contre une religion est une attaque contre toutes les religions », une phrase qu’il a déclaré pendant son discours lors d’une visite au Centre islamique du Maryland au début de 2016. 

La citation a été traduite en arabe et écrite en écriture Diwani Jali. Il est répété quatre fois pour former les proportions mises à l’échelle avec précision d’un MQ-9 Reaper.

Cette variété particulière d’UAV est utilisée pour lancer des missiles Hellfire afin d’assassiner des militants, tuant souvent de nombreux civils dans le processus. Les attaques de ces véhicules ont considérablement augmenté sous la présidence de Barack Obama.
