Description
This piece is formed entirely using only Arabic calligraphy in the ornamental Diwani Jali script. The text in this piece is the entire 61st book of the Qur’an.
This Surah, entitled ‘As-Saff’, meaning ‘The Row’ is composed of 14 different verses, the 4th verse; ” Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly” is the central text of the piece. A translation of the whole surah can be seen Here, courtesy of Sahih International. The Hindi numerals appear at the end of every verse. All 14 verses are included, and none are repeated.
