Description
A bottle and wine glass are illustrated using the opening lyrics of “Khamrat Al-Hubb” by Sabah Fakhri. Fakhri, from Aleppo, was one of the greatest icons of Levantine music. This piece was composed shortly after his death in November of 2021.
“The Wine of Love, I pour it so my heart will forget its wounds.”
The quote is repeated exactly seven times in the image, and once underneath in black for clarity.
خمرة الحب
قنينة وكأس نبيذ موضحتان باستخدام الكلمات اللازمة الأولى لأغنية “خمرة الحب” للمغني الكبير صباح فخري. فخري من حلب كان من أعظم أيقونات موسيقى بلاد الشام. تم تأليف هذه القطعة بعد وقت قصير من وفاته في نوفمبر عام 2021.
“خمر الحب ، اسقنيها همّ قلبي تنسنيه.”
يتكرر الاقتباس سبع مرات بالضبط في الصورة ، ومرة واحدة تحته باللون الأسود للتوضيح.
